HEATHER NISBET
Heather started dancing at the age of 2 at Miss Forrest School of Dance in her home town, Stonehaven.
She found her passion for dance here thanks to her supportive teacher who put her through the ISTD modern and RAD ballet grades and exams, right up until she left high school aged 18. Leaving high school Heather was accepted straight into second year of a 3 year dance course at Dance For All Theatre College Edinburgh. In her two years here, Heather trained in numerous genres; ballet, Spanish, modern, contemporary, tap, musical theatre, commercial and so many more! She loved her two years at DFA and is happy to say she graduated with an A in her HND, Student of the Year Award 2021, ISTD DDE Unit 4, 2nd Year Choreography Award, 3rd year Contemporary Award as well as Advanced 1 ISTD Modern, 98% distinction Grade 3 Spanish dance with summer scholarship and Intermediate RAD ballet.
After graduating from college in July 2021, Heather successfully signed a 6 month teaching contract in Doha, Qatar with the Sophie McDonald Dance Company. She lived and worked in Doha from January 2022, and completed an amazing 6 months coaching the next generation of dancers there! Heather returned home from the contract in July 2022 to pursue her teaching career here in her home town where it all started!
