JILLIAN LOUIS
Jillian is a former student of Scottish Ballet Dance School and completed her training at London Studio Centre.
Originally from Aberdeen, Jillian is a graduate from London Studio Centre with a BA (Hons) in Dance in Education and a 3 year Professional Dance Diploma.
Jillian has been teaching and performing around the UK for the last twenty five years. She has worked with an array of dance companies and choreographers in many different dance genres from Contemporary, Physical Theatre, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakdancing and Aerial Dance.
Passionate about working with the community Jillian has also worked with Creative Scotland and as a Dance Development Officer at Citymoves Dancespace. She is a regular teacher on our NPA, Nat 5 and Higher Dance Courses and is now currently studying with Rambert Grades on their new Contemporary Syllabus. She is also the mother of 3 busy children and 2 dogs!
She began working for Danscentre in 2010 creating the piece Grafted that went on to win the first ever UK Dance Proms competition and was performed in The Royal Albert Hall in 2011. She has been brave enough to take on the Dad's Dance in the past several HMT shows, see photo above!
